The scope of works for the Juukan Garli Corella Village Enabling Earthworks Project (BS1 – CC1122) comprises the delivery of comprehensive enabling earthworks across Separable Portions 1 and 2 to support the development of Corella Village.

Separable Portion 1 includes clearing, grubbing, topsoil removal, stockpiling and shaping to nominated stockpiles, along with extensive earthworks activities such as excavating, winning, sorting, blending, conditioning, material handling, and loading and hauling of materials from local cuttings to fill and spoil areas. Works also include the loading and hauling of embankment general fill from designated Company stockpiles, the importation, purchase, and stockpiling of basecourse material, and the construction of earthworks embankments and unsealed basecourse pavement for the Corella Village Stage 2 pad. Additional activities comprise drainage works including open drains, culverts, stream training, and riprap rock protection, windrow construction, and the supply and installation of guideposts, signage, and other road furniture. This separable portion also includes clearing, grubbing, and topsoil removal for the 33kV powerline service corridor, construction of a Type 1 unformed access track, and the burial of the existing Jerriwah spray field effluent above-ground pipeline, including trench excavation and backfilling in accordance with design requirements.

Separable Portion 2 includes the installation of heritage delineation and demarcation, further clearing, grubbing, topsoil removal, stockpiling and shaping, ongoing earthworks activities including excavation, material handling, loading and hauling, construction, shaping and trimming of embankments to final design levels, access track construction, windrow construction, and the installation of road furniture such as signage and guideposts at various locations across the site.
