Garli Medi Tech Joins Austrade In India

In November 2025, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Darren Lundberg, and Garli Medi Tech’s Business Development Manager, Branka Vasiljkovic, took part in the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) DigiTech Mission to Bengaluru, held alongside the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025.

As part of a select group of high-impact Australian technology companies, the Garli Medi Tech team joined national innovators exploring growth opportunities in one of the world’s most dynamic technology ecosystems.

Throughout the mission, Darren and Branka engaged with senior policymakers, healthcare and digital health leaders, startup founders, and potential commercial partners, gaining valuable insight into India’s rapidly evolving innovation landscape.

Introducing MediFusion to India's Healthcare Leaders

The Bengaluru Tech Summit – welcoming more than 20,000 delegates, 630 speakers, 1,200 exhibitors, and representatives from over 60 countries. It provided a powerful platform for Garli Medi Tech to introduce MediFusion, its integrated remote diagnostic, clinical assessment and home-care platform.

MediFusion addresses a critical issue in India’s healthcare landscape. India, now the world’s most populous nation with approximately 1.46 billion people, has a doctor-to-population ratio of 0.7 doctors per 1,000 people. In contrast, Australia has 4.1 doctors per 1,000 people. “India presents a significant opportunity,” Branka said. “Large part of the population live in rural areas facing healthcare workforce shortages. MediFusion is designed to bridge this gap and improve access to specialist care across India.” Through a single platform, healthcare providers gain access to live vital-sign data, patient analytics, real-time monitoring, and a full medical history- enabling faster, safer, and more informed clinical decisions regardless of location. “These are the outcomes that matter,” Branka noted. “More people seen. Faster diagnosis. Better data. Lower cost. Less travel. Improved health access for communities everywhere.”

A Strategic Mission for Market Insights & Partnership Building

Austrade’s DigiTech Mission included curated business-matching sessions, market briefings, site visits, and networking events with India’s public and private sector stakeholders. For Garli Medi Tech, the mission offered direct access to on-the-ground insights from policymakers, hospital networks, industry bodies, and technology leaders. “The mission gave us rare access to India’s digital health ecosystem,” Branka said. “It created the right environment to understand market needs, explore partnerships, and shape a strategic pathway for expansion.”

Looking Ahead

“Following the success of the DigiTech Mission, Garli Medi Tech will continue strengthening its presence across India’s healthcare sector” says Darren. The company plans to pursue collaborative opportunities with hospital networks, aged care providers, and technology partners seeking scalable, cost-effective solutions for remote and rural populations.

As Garli Medi Tech expands internationally, the MediFusion platform remains at the centre of its mission – to deliver smarter, more accessible, and more equitable healthcare across borders.

“With MediFusion, we’re delivering healthcare that’s not just reactive – it’s proactive, precise, and deeply human.”
