Our Project Scope
The scope of works for the Juukan Garli Legacy Rehabilitation Project encompasses a comprehensive program of pre-mobilisation, mobilisation, and key rehabilitation activities to ensure safe, compliant, and effective delivery of the works.
Pre-mobilisation activities include mobilisation planning and site readiness requirements such as inductions, medicals, HSEQ planning, safety equipment, site facilities, weed and seed management, machinery hygiene inspections, and the provision of Category 3 Contractor Management System (CMS) requirements. This phase also includes the preparation of mobilisation documentation, L2RAs, HSE systems, project methodology, cost forecasting, flight and accommodation scheduling, traffic management plans, and maintenance of equipment and SDS registers.
Mobilisation activities involve completing all permitting, isolation, and safety requirements, establishing site infrastructure including cribs, power, water, toilets, and communications, managing surface water, transporting personnel daily between camp and site, and undertaking site inspections to confirm compliance with Approval Requests, particularly heritage protection requirements. Windrows will also be installed to provide edge protection during the works.
Key rehabilitation activities focus on remediating disturbed areas to align as closely as possible with original mining topography, installing segregation bunding where required, and placing topsoil in accordance with approved design and rehabilitation requirements.
