The Juukan Garli Pty Ltd was established in 2023 and owned by Juukan Pty Ltd (50%) and Garli Pty Ltd (50%) to target civil construction, mining services and projects in the Pilbara Region to foster true Indigenous-to-Indigenous (i2i) business partnerships and deliver meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Juukan Pty Ltd (established 2018) is 100% owned by Puutu Kunti Kurrama Traditional Owners, all direct descendants of Tommy Ashburton (Juukan). Current business activities include cross-cultural awareness training and Aboriginal Heritage provisions with respect to activities within the PKKP native title determination area which include operations at Rio Tinto’s Brockman 4 and Fortescue’s Eliwana mines.
Garli is an Aboriginal-owned and Supply Nation certified contractor (established 2018) focused on project management, civil construction and mining services. Garli’s business model is one whereby we self-perform works when possible and use local and Aboriginal businesses to complement our work as required. Garli has an exceptional record in Aboriginal employment, procurement and training and has a proven track record of successful project delivery across key time, cost and quality KPIs.
